Read what former Faculty Fellows have to say about the program:
The Faculty Fellows Program, jointly funded by NCSA and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, extends opportunities in advanced computing and information technology to University faculty. Through the program, faculty can access and benefit from NCSA's high-performance computing and storage environment, cutting-edge visualization and data analysis capabilities, and opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration.
Fellowships include up to $30,000 in support. Options for using this money include:
- Adjustment of teaching responsibilities, to be negotiated with department heads or chairs.
- Graduate research assistant support. (During the application procedure, please obtain an estimate of this dollar amount from the NCSA Office of Campus Relations. This figure may vary based on the student's home department and length of appointment.).
- Travel support. Maximum of $1,500 for conference travel or travel to other sites.
- Summer salary.
